Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our dynamic team for our Evening Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP).. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality clinical care to individuals and families experiencing mental health challenges, primarily during evening hours. Your expertise will help clients develop coping skills, manage symptoms, and achieve their treatment goals through evidence-based practices. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' mental health needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical best practices.
- Provide psychotherapy and counseling services to individuals, families, and groups.
- Utilize crisis intervention techniques to support clients in acute distress.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards. Ensuring documentation is timely.
- Engage in supervisor approved clinical research as needed to enhance service delivery and outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for clients.
- Provide support and resources for additional community services as appropriate and necessary.
- Stay informed about developments in the field of behavioral health to ensure the application of evidence-based practices.
- Work with client's from intake to discharge ensuring appropriate care (including appropriate admission and discharge).
- Maintains appointed caseload.
Experience
- Master’s degree in social work (MSW), counseling psychology, or related field; licensure as an LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor), LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker), or LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker).
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, or adults in outpatient or inpatient settings; experience with pediatrics, geriatrics, or special populations is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated proficiency in psychotherapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance/movement therapy or applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Strong background in crisis management, trauma-focused therapy, grief counseling, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-10/ICD-9), CPT coding for billing purposes, and medical terminology related to mental health diagnoses.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder; knowledge of special education needs is a plus.
- Telehealth experience preferred; ability to adapt clinical skills for virtual platforms while maintaining engagement and confidentiality.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation standards within EMR/EHR systems; adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines is essential.
- Prior inpatient or outpatient experience in behavioral health settings; familiarity with hospital procedures is advantageous.

- Experience working in the field of mental health. Preferably partial-care/ psychiatric day treatment.
- Excellent crisis intervention skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of various psychotherapy techniques tailored to diverse populations.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective workplace and client interaction.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Qualifications
- Master's Degree in a Behavioral Health Related field.
- License in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or substance use, (i.e. LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, and/ or similar licensure) license preferred
- 2 years experience at minimum required in the field
- ASAM and DSM experience and knowledge
- Demonstrated computer and communication proficiency
